ONE WEEK LEFT FOR THE KICKSTARTER PROJECT

There is only 1 week remaining to pre-order my debut album! There’s a few limited edition rewards still left as well which will not be available after this project finishes. I know the target has been reached but with a bigger budget so much more can be done and achieved to make this album even more than I could hope for, but due to the current success

THERE IS GOING TO BE A PARTY! AND ALL THE PLEDGERS ARE INVITED.

For everyone that pledges towards the project, there will be a secret link to an online party next Sunday. I’ll be playing songs, answering questions and having a general hootenanny to thank you guys for your support over the last month. Think balloons, party hats, cake..

If you’re yet to pledge then CLICK HERE for your chance to join in the fun!

Thanks guys.

The question why I would LET Willow cut her hair. First the LET must be challenged. This is a world where women, girls are constantly reminded that they don’t belong to themselves; that their bodies are not their own, nor their power or self determination. I made a promise to endow my little girl with the power to always know that her body, spirit and her mind are HER domain. Willow cut her hair because her beauty, her value, her worth is not measured by the length of her hair. It’s also a statement that claims that even little girls have the RIGHT to own themselves and should not be a slave to even their mother’s deepest insecurities, hopes and desires. Even little girls should not be a slave to the preconceived ideas of what a culture believes a little girl should be.

This is an image of a men’s rights activist articulating the struggle for men’s rights and male visibility in a world that is so anti-man in this day and age.

Violence & Silence: Jackson Katz, Ph.D

Another important video post.

I know a lot of women will be reluctant to hear about the struggles of our sisters from a white male, but I promise you this is a good’un.
He makes a lot of great points (although I could do without the mothers, daughters, sisters stuff) and definitely knows what he’s on about.

Now, I understand that a lot of women who have been trying to speak out about these issues, today and yesterday and for years and years, often get shouted down for their efforts. They get called nasty names ..the disgusting and offensive ‘Feminazi, right? And you know what all this is about? It’s called kill the messenger. It’s because the women who are standing up and speaking out for themselves and for other women, as well as for men and boys.. it’s a statement to them to sit down and shut up. ‘Keep the current system in place because we don’t like it when people rock the boat. We don’t like it when people challenge our power. You better sit down and shut up.’

Want to work out with a buddy? Try some of these exercises:

  1. Handclap plank - both starting off on the ground, raise yourselves up with one arm and slap hands, alternating each time.
  2. V-sit side touch & pass - never declining and holding the v sit, twist and touch both sides and then pass the mediball off to your partner. Both must always twist and touch.
  3. Mediball crunch - get your partner to stand over you and lock your feet into their legs. Crunch up, pass the mediball to them and come back down, then crunch up and grab the mediball again, repeat.
  4. Crunch & stand - Crunch and using your core stand up, throw two punches when you reach the top, then lower yourself back down. Make sure your partner gives you a slight pull on your legs when you’re coming up!

Have fun with these!

What’s a dead lady?
That’s the move I’m (pretty much!) doing in the photo :) Names of moves differ from class to class when it comes to Pole, so some people would know it as a Flatline Scorpio. Just so happens that my teacher has nicknamed it, rather morbidly, Dead Lady.
