Had a conversation with Adam’s mum and her boyfriend before work on Saturday, explaining why I liked working in the cloakroom more than on the bar, one of the reasons being I get (marginally) less leered at and creeped out by drunk guys when I’m in there. Her boyfriend’s response was “Yeah but that’s to be expected though. That’s just the job, just the way it is’, which made me realise that has to be in my ‘top most annoying excuses for shitty human behaviour ever’.

Others include “I’m just a bad person” and “Oh man I was just joking. Why do you take everything so seriously?”
